Other August 2008 Works

#
2a, b, c, d (left to right, top to bottom), August 2008
Four parts, each 22 x 15
2a. “There's no denying there's more every day"
2b. “Big head small end"
2c. "People who play with fire always get burned."
2d. "A little goes a long way"

#3, August 2008
"
Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God,
Are you still there, Still there, Still there,
Burning, Burning, Burning
in my Crotch?"

"I NEVER LET GO"

#4, August, 2008.
"Where will you go? How will you get there?
What will you do? When?
Tell me, tell me, where am I going
Tell me, tell me, how to save my life."

And I marked the height of the painting
with the far star of the goal forever receding,
and I marked the depth of the painting with my own version
of the Chinese artist’s jade seal—
my thumb thick with Cadmium Red Deep, the color of the blood that never dies.
